Attendance
The Attendance page surfaces day-by-day attendance records for every tracked employee, computed from the BEAK SWA agent's activity stream. Each row represents one employee on one date with the first and last captured activity, total active hours, and total idle hours. KPI tiles summarize the period at a glance.
Filters
The filter bar at the top of the page lets you narrow the dataset before any KPIs or rows are computed. Available filters:
- Date Range — Restrict records to a specific date window. Default is the last 7 days.
- Department — Limit to one or more departments.
- Employee — Filter to a specific employee.
- Search — Free-text search across employee name and email.
A reset icon at the right edge of the filter bar clears every selection in one click. Changing any filter triggers a fresh data fetch — KPIs and the records table update together. The records table also carries its own search box for narrowing within the loaded set.
KPI Tiles
Four tiles surface the period-level summary, each tied to the current filter selection:
- Employees Tracked — Distinct employees with at least one attendance record in the period
- Avg Active Hours — Average active hours per employee per day across the filtered set
- Avg Idle Hours — Average idle hours per employee per day
- Avg Work Span — Average hours between first and last activity per employee per day
Each tile may show a percentage change against the previous matching period; the trend indicator turns green for improvement and red for decline.
Attendance Records
The records table lists one row per employee per day, with these columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Employee | Full name |
| Employee email (corporate account) | |
| Date | The attendance date in YYYY-MM-DD form |
| First Activity | Timestamp of the first captured activity that day (- if none) |
| Last Activity | Timestamp of the last captured activity that day |
| Active Hours | Total active hours that day, rendered in green |
| Idle Hours | Total idle hours that day, rendered in yellow |
The table is searchable, paginated (15 rows per page), and exportable. Click any column header to sort.
Export
When the records table has at least one row, an Export button appears in the page header. Clicking it downloads the current filtered result set as an Excel file (attendance-records.xlsx) with the same seven columns as the table — useful for ad-hoc HR reports or audit submissions.
Note: Export honours the active filter — only rows visible in the current selection are written to the file.
Best Practices
- Use the date range filter to scope to a single sprint, pay period, or compliance window — the KPIs only become meaningful against a consistent time frame.
- A large gap between
First ActivityandLast Activitywith lowActive Hoursusually indicates a long lunch break or extended idle — pair it with Behaviour Analytics to investigate. - For payroll or shift-compliance use cases, export the data and reconcile against the source HRMS — Attendance is observational, not the system of record.
- Empty
First Activity/Last Activitycells mean the agent did not run on that device that day — check Agent Installation for the device's recent status.
