Beak MDM — Mobile Device Management

Beak MDM is a multi-tenant Mobile Device Management platform that lets organizations enroll, configure, secure, and monitor mobile and desktop endpoints from a single console. It delivers consistent management workflows across the major operating systems used in modern enterprises — iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Windows — covering enrollment, device inventory, policy execution, application deployment, and remote administration.

Key Capabilities

Cross-Platform Enrollment

Enroll devices across all supported platforms from a single Downloads workflow — QR code or profile link for iOS/iPadOS, an enrollment profile for macOS, and a native Work or School Account URL for Windows. Enrollment artifacts are scoped to a specific company and location.

Device Inventory & Details

After enrollment, Beak MDM automatically retrieves device information — name, model, serial number, UDID — along with installed software and storage usage, and surfaces every enrolled endpoint in a central inventory.

Policy Management

Push configuration policies (profiles) to all assets under a company or to a hand-picked selection, revoke them at any time, and gate execution behind an approve / unapprove workflow.

Application Deployment

Deploy Windows applications (.msi and .exe) to enrolled devices, edit an uploaded application before approval, approve or unapprove installers, and revoke previously pushed applications.

Dynamic Script Execution

Upload PowerShell scripts — or author them directly in the console — and execute them on enrolled Windows devices for software installation, configuration, compliance checks, and diagnostics.

Beak Management Extension

On Windows, a lightweight agent (the Beak Management Extension) is deployed silently over the MDM channel and runs as a background service to execute server-initiated scripts and return results.

Sync & Remote Actions

Refresh device data on demand or on a schedule, and remotely wipe an enrolled device back to factory settings when needed.

History & Logs

Track every action with policy execution history, application deployment history, script execution history, user activity history, and Windows MDM agent logs.

Note: Home editions of Windows are not supported because they do not include the MDM enrollment capabilities the platform requires. Supported editions are Windows 10/11 Pro and Enterprise.

Where MDM Lives in the Console

Beak MDM is operated through several areas of the Beak console.

Getting Started

  1. Review prerequisites — Confirm device platforms are supported and complete the Windows Azure AD setup described in Prerequisites.
  2. Enroll devices — Generate the appropriate enrollment artifact per platform from the Downloads section and share it with end users. See Device Enrollment.
  3. Confirm inventory — Verify enrolled devices appear in Device Inventory and that device details have synced.
  4. Apply policies — Upload and approve configuration policies, then execute them against all or selected assets. See Policies.
  5. Deploy applications (Windows) — Upload, approve, and push .msi / .exe applications to Windows devices. See Applications.
  6. Automate with scripts (Windows) — Run PowerShell scripts on enrolled Windows devices for configuration and maintenance. See Scripts & Agent.
