SPAN Sessions
SPAN (Switched Port ANalyzer) Sessions allow you to mirror traffic from one or more switch ports to a designated capture port — managed centrally from Beak NOC. This is useful for deep-dive troubleshooting, IDS/IPS sensor feeds, and packet capture requirements.
SPAN Sessions Table
The Sessions table lists all configured SPAN sessions with the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Descriptive name for the SPAN session |
| Device | The managed switch where the session is configured |
| Ports | Source ports being mirrored |
| Direction | Traffic direction being captured |
| Status | Active or Inactive |
| Actions | Options to manage the session |
Creating a SPAN Session
Click + Create SPAN Session to open the session configuration form.
