Microsoft 365 Integration

Chief of Staff is deeply embedded in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. It reads your calendar, understands your org structure, and references your documents — so every task it creates carries full situational context.

Supported Surfaces

Outlook

  • Email-to-Task — Convert email threads into structured Beak Desk tasks from the Copilot sidebar
  • Sidebar Task View — View and manage your task portfolio without leaving Outlook
  • Stakeholder Alerts — Automated email notifications on task state changes

Teams

  • Chat-to-Task — Convert Teams discussions into clearly defined tasks
  • Channel-Based Briefings — Request task summaries directly in Teams channels

Copilot Chat

  • Natural Language Interface — Full task management through conversational commands
  • Daily Briefings — Ask for your task portfolio summary at any time

Identity & Context Integrations

Calendar Awareness

Ask "Do I have any conflicts this week for the infrastructure review task?" and the assistant will cross-reference your calendar before responding.

Azure AD / Entra ID

  • People & Org Structure — Reference team members by first name; the assistant resolves full identity using your Microsoft 365 directory
  • Reporting Lines — Understands org hierarchy for routing and escalation
  • Team Membership — Resolves group membership for team-level queries

OneDrive & SharePoint

  • Document References — Documents referenced in emails or chats are linked to tasks on creation, providing assignees with the full context

Note: Chief of Staff resolves team members by first name using your Microsoft 365 directory. No need to type email addresses — identity resolution is automatic.

Best Practices

  • Reference team members by first name rather than email address — the assistant handles identity resolution
  • Use calendar-aware queries before scheduling task deadlines to avoid conflicts
  • Ensure your Azure AD / Entra ID directory is up to date for accurate people resolution
