ITAM Integrations

BEAK ITAM serves as the asset data backbone for the entire Beak platform. Asset inventory, ownership, configuration, and lifecycle data flows to every product pillar, enriching context and enabling automation.

ITAM to Beak Desk

Asset Context on Tickets

When a user submits a ticket, Beak Desk automatically pulls their asset inventory from ITAM:

  • Assigned devices — Laptops, desktops, mobile devices
  • Software inventory — Installed applications and versions
  • License entitlements — Active licenses and subscription status
  • Asset health — Last scan date, compliance status, pending patches

This context helps support agents diagnose issues faster without asking users for hardware or software details.

Automated Ticket Creation

ITAM events can trigger ticket creation in Beak Desk:

ITAM EventDesk Ticket
Asset warranty expiringProcurement request
License nearing capacityLicense review request
Asset non-compliantRemediation ticket
Discovery of unknown assetAsset onboarding request

ITAM to Beak Security

Vulnerability Correlation

Beak Security uses ITAM asset data to correlate vulnerabilities with specific assets:

  • Asset ownership — Identify who is responsible for remediation
  • Asset criticality — Prioritize vulnerabilities on business-critical assets
  • Software inventory — Match CVEs to installed software versions
  • Network topology — Understand blast radius using CMDB dependency maps

Patch Targeting

ITAM's software inventory enables precise patch targeting:

  • Identify all assets running a vulnerable software version
  • Group assets by department, location, or criticality for phased rollouts
  • Track patch compliance against the known asset inventory

ITAM to Beak Observability

Monitored Asset Inventory

Observability uses ITAM data to:

  • Auto-discover monitoring targets from the asset inventory
  • Correlate alerts with asset ownership and business context
  • Enrich dashboards with asset metadata (location, department, cost center)
  • Map dependencies using CMDB data for root cause analysis

ITAM to AI Studio & Agents

Agent Asset Access

AI agents built in Beak Studio can query ITAM data to:

  • Look up a user's assigned assets during ticket resolution
  • Check asset compliance status before executing remediation scripts
  • Retrieve CMDB dependency maps for impact analysis
  • Access asset lifecycle data for procurement recommendations

ITAM to Beak Governance

License Optimization Data

ITAM feeds license entitlement and usage data to Governance for:

  • M365 utilization scoring based on actual software usage
  • License reclamation recommendations based on dormant installations
  • Cost allocation by department, location, or cost center
  • Cloud resource mapping to asset ownership

Configuration

Enabling ITAM Data Sharing

ITAM data sharing is enabled by default across all product pillars. To configure which data is shared:

  1. Navigate to BEAK ITAM > Settings > Data Sharing
  2. Toggle data sharing per product:
    • Beak Desk — Asset context enrichment
    • Beak Security — Vulnerability correlation
    • Beak Observability — Monitoring context
    • AI Studio — Agent data access
    • Beak Governance — License data
  3. Configure field-level sharing to control which asset attributes are shared
